Don't buy the cheap stuff

So I'm a beginner sewer, I'm in the testing/ learning phase. I mess up and get frustrated but when something comes out and actually looks like it could pass as something you could wear I jump for joy and I make my kids wear it. Poor kids , the things their mother puts them through. As you will see from the picture my daughter looks like she just loves this new shirt I made her. So I wanted to add a contrasting color to the bottom and this was supposed to be a dress but is now a shirt because I bought the cheap stuff.

I honestly didn't know there was a difference, I mean you can tell there is a difference like going to the Dollar Store and buying a crappy candle or going and buying a Yankee Candle but i bought fabric that was comparable in price to the fabric pictured above and it pulled and frayed: it was terrible.

 So my lesson today is don't buy the cheap stuff , you don't have to go overboard and buy the best, but go with stuff you know. I like to get fabric from the link below shipped right to my door. Easy Peasy!!!!!!!!!
